Day 38, Univ of Nebraska SigEp / Steeaaakkk, CORN / "I like that boulder, that's a niceeee boulder" - Donkey

Carolynn, My Mom and I enjoyed some awesome food at the "#1 Steakhouse in Omaha" a.k.a Spencer's last night for dinner. The reputation that steak in Nebraska is the best is definitely true. Also the Midwest hospitality reputation is true too. In Iowa and Nebraska multiple people have pulled over to ask my Mom if she needed help when she was waiting for me on the side of the road. On the east coast people just honked and yelled at me to get out of the way haha.

Biked from Omaha to Lincoln today and passed a few cornfields...just a few... and a boulder which is where the Shrek reference came up. Looking forward to the gradual 6,000 foot climb over the next week from this end of the state to the other. It shouldn't be too bad since its spread out over about 400-500 miles. Thursday we'll bike to Grand Island and then Friday to North Platte. I'm really excited to get out to Wyoming and Idaho for the beautiful land but there are big hills out there to go with it.

Thursday on my way to Grand Island I'll bike on the same road for 90 miles which should be exhilarating... I'm sure Carolynn will take a thousand pictures for everyone to see.

Tomorrow we are taking a day off and explore Lincoln. I keep thinking of the scene from Yes Man when they go to the Telephone Museum so I'm sure we'll go there.

I was thinking about Zach a lot today and realized that I failed to mention his birthday was June 6th, weirdly the day after mine. To donate to his recovery visit: https://www.wepay.com/donations/199769
